The story so far: last weekend access to the online banking site of a large Dutch bank was blocked by a DDoS attack. The online payment system iDeal, which require users' banks' online functionality to be available, was flooded with failed payment attempts and went down as well. A group of activists claimed responsibility for the DDoS attack, as well as for fires that had been set in the bank's headquarters a few weeks earlier. Now the Dutch secret service has found that those claims were bogus.
